I agree x4labs should be more explicit about setting up and using the extender as I too had difficulty figuring out as to what was what with device.

I was baffled at the lack of documentation on how to use the device. Especially when dealing with such a sensitive area. Flatlander, your advice of "...suggest a tension that has all lines on the tension posts exposed. Then over time, gradually increase tension to hide the indicating lines..." is the first clear explanation of how to use the tension lines. I wasn't sure I was even using the thing right because when I compress the springs, strap in and release, the springs decompress all the way to the end, every time. When I attach longer rods, I can't stretch long enough to strap in. Still working the kinks out.
