Has anyone tried the one with the silicone cup?

Postby Lightning on Tue Nov 02, 2010 2:41 pm

Has anyone used the item in the image above? I've been having trouble wearing the extender to daily activities since I have to walk so far and just not that discreet. Whereas, the item in the image looks very discreet and something I could wear while going about my day, then get home and use the real extender. What do you guys think?

I was looking at this as an option too... the x4 is way too uncomfortable for my liking... this actually looks as thought it wouldnt show if worn publicly . i wonder if its worth it... and if its comfortable :(

Hello Everyone,
It's been a while since I posted and since this topic was bumped. I recently had some paypal bucks to use so I decided to spend them on some silicone cups (2). A number of months ago I stopped using the extender due to some discomfort and pain even though I had been using the extender for over 2 years. Today the cups arrived and I've been experimenting with putting the cups on and adapting them to work with the extender.
1. Placing the cup over the glans; it's not as easy as I'd hoped. I don't know if all these makes of cups are the same size (inside diameter and length), but you need to completely cover the glans and part of the shaft to get a good seal so the cups don't slowly slip off. I'm having a terrible time getting the glans completely covered; I don't think my glans is that large though I haven't really done any comparisons.
2. I finally settled on removing the hard black plastic anchor at the tip and replacing it with the silicone noose. This seems to work fine so far the only problem is you need to resize the extender length because the glans sits lower in the support piece

The results so far at about 1000g the cup held for about 20mins before slipping off; this is not a good result. I'm going to try to see if wetting the cup will help with maintaining the suction. I'll keep everyone posted as I work this out.

Hello again Everyone,
It seems that wetting the inside of the cup and glans allows a firm seal that doesn't seem to slip.
Forget about using the attachment provided by default, it's made to handle the tension of the elastic rope that is provided with the cup; it will rip the flimsy silicone under the tensions provided by the X4 Labs extender. What I'm testing now is strapping over the silicone cup which seems to be holding. It's important to strap the silicone cup to the point it does not slip out of the grip of the strap. If you mishapen the cup it will break the seal because air is allowed to seep in.

Hello again,
It's getting easier to get the cup on after working with it a bit. The cup seems comfortable except at the deepest part of the cup; the area that the tip of the glans sits. A small vacuum pocket seems to form when I'm all strapped in; this pocket puts alot of negative pressure on the tip of the penis which becomes swollen looking, may trap blood, and starts to become sore.
I'm going to experiment with a small bandage placed over the tip to see if this will protect that area, I've used this technique to protect an area of the glans while pumping with some good results in the past.
Another concern I have is the rest of the glans appears pale and cold after I remove the cup, because I have to stuff the cup to get a good seal, I'm worried I'm cutting off blood flow to the glans.
I'll update this thread again soon with more observations and results.

Hello Everyone,
Blood flow to the glans is fine, so that concern is gone. I've tried the bandage and have settled on just sealing the opening to the urethra where the very sensitive tissues are located. The tip still gets a little swollen but is fine after a reasonable break. I would say that using the silicone cup has allowed me to return to using the extender (four and a half hours so far today I should be able to get another one and a half hours in today to bring the total to six hours total).
I really wish there was a better way to attach the cup to the extender without the soft silicone material tearing, but for now comfort strap to hold the cup is working and is easy enough to deal with. This is probably the last update to this thread I'll make unless a question pops up.
