Over the past several years prostate cancer has become one of the leading diseases pertaining to men’s health. A recent study conducted by an Australian institute whom questioned over 1,000 men who had it at one point and 1,200 participants who had not. The research was designed to note whether or not ejaculation could restrict the possibility of prostate cancer in later years.

Research that had been previously conducted indicated that sexual activity actually increased the risk of developing prostate cancer by up to 40%. Australian researchers noted that prior research missed out on the protective measures of ejaculation.
The study found that men between the ages of 20-50 who ejaculated more were found to be less likely and have lower chances of developing prostate cancer. Men who ejaculated at least 5 times a day or more were less likely to develop cancer later on in life, particularly past their 50’s.
The researchers suggested that ejaculation prevents the accumulation of carcinogens in the prostate gland. As the prostate is responsible for secreting a variety of enzymes, it provides fluid into the semen particularly during ejaculation. This fluid includes concentrations of potassium, zinc, and citric acid which are directly drawn from the bloodstream.

As carcinogens build up in the prostate gland, it is important to flush them out and remove them from the system. Doctors have suggested that the increased ejaculation allows for the removal of such carcinogens, reducing the build up in the prostate. The research suggests that masturbation you should be an active part of a males sexuality and regiment.
